Hi! I’m Mariano Rodríguez — Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Freeda, an applied-AI research leader who converts research into shipped, revenue-bearing product.
At Freeda I own the scientific strategy and the AI roadmap, and lead a team of 3 ML engineers building AI compliance review for the construction industry. Every layer of the AI stack — perception models, annotation tooling, document intelligence, agentic verification — was shipped by that team under my direction.
Previously I was founding ML engineer at Gladia (speech-to-text API, later acquired by OVH), ML engineer at Powder (highlight detection in gameplay video), and sole technical founder of Nano Quant Services. PhD and postdoc in computer vision at ENS Paris-Saclay, with peer-reviewed publications at WACV and CVPR. Six years turning applied research into systems that hold up under production load and customer scrutiny.
